Location
We enjoy ideal proximity to Toronto with direct access to highways, rail lines, public transit, and Lake Simcoe. EG is a safe, desirable, liveable community with approximately 70% of the Town’s land protected under the provincial Greenbelt and Oak Ridges Moraine plans.

Demographics & Workforce
Our highly educated residential population is expected to grow to 86,500, and expected employment opportunities will rise by 30,000 new jobs by 2031.

Available Employment Land
As available and suitable land for business investment continues to diminish across other parts of the GTA, EG has more than 1,000 acres of designated employment land, and an abundance of large holdings well-suited to large-scale developments.

Transportation
EG offers modern infrastructure with quick access to markets throughout the GTA and beyond. EG is a 20-minute drive from highways 401 and 407 and features 13 km of highway 404 with three interchanges. There is existing reliable GO Transit commuter service and planned VIVA express bus service to commercial and industrial business regions in EG.

Fees & Taxes
EG provides highly competitive business development fees and a low residential property tax rate. EG’s business property tax rates are among the lowest in York Region. EG also provides preferred municipal development charge rates for office spaces and industrial land uses.
